So I’ve been playing around with the free design website, Canva, and I have to say that I am liking it.
A few years ago, it was impossible to make a decent layout without using a complicated design program. In fact, when I worked in newspapers, designing a page made me break out in cold sweat. I eventually conquered the anxiety.
My friends and I own this bakery in the Philippines. It’s still new and struggling, but hopefully it will become successful eventually.
I used the banner above for our Facebook page. I spent the good part of the afternoon absorbed in designing stuff.
I shot the bread last week. It took me two hours to get things just the way I liked it. I used my old trusty Canon S95 point and shoot and also used my iPhone 4S. I styled the bread shots just using whatever I could find at home.
Here are some of the shots I took using my Canon point and shoot:
This is ham and cheese bread.
I think the texture looks great for photographing. This is ham and cheese bread.
Bread with condensed milk in the center.
Banana bread, which a lot of people liked.
Do let me know if you like my photographs.
